Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is just 8 kilometers from the heart of downtown Nairobi. It's interesting to be looking at a Lion or Impala with the Nairobi skyline in the background. This is the site of the ivory memorial, created when Kenya outlawed the trade in ivory to protect its remaining elephants. They burned ten tons of valuable ivory to signify their commitment to stopping the poachers.
