Nairobi & Daystar University

In Nairobi, we lived in visiting faculty hosuing which is part of the Valley Road Campus of Daystar University. We stayed with Gayle and Spencer Radnich, who have been going to Africa off and on since 1996. Spencer was teaching at Daystar and Gayle was pursuing her work as an infection control nurse. They are from near Rochester, NY, and are now back at Daystar for a two year stint (2003 & 2004). Spencer is the on-site liaison between Daystar University and the Daystar US support organization.

While at Daystar, I taught a three week course in Radio Announcing and Production and consulted with the staff about operating the Daystar radio station, the first college radio station in East Africa. It should go on the air in the near future.
