What is AJI??

THE NAME

AJI stands for Asobou Japanese Immersion.
Asobou （遊ぼう）is Japanese for "let's play."
The word "aji" in Japanese can mean 'flavor' 味 or 'horse mackerel' 鯵.

THE SLOGAN

The AJI slogan is 'tobikome' (toe-bee-koe-may) 飛び込め, and it means 'Dive In.'

THE MISSION

Asobou Japanese Immersion Club is an organization that supports individuals learning and practicing Japanese by providing opportunities to actively participate and develop ownership of the language learning experience, coupled with cultural aspects of Japanese. Everyone is welcome at AJI! From absolute beginner level to advanced speaker, we are waiting to meet you!
