American Institute of Architecture Students
University of Minnesota Chapter
FORUM is global gathering of architecture and design students and the annual convention of the American Institute of Architecture Students. Up to 1,000 students are expected this year. This event offers students the opportunity to learn about issues facing both architectural education and the profession, to meet other students and professionals with common interests, and to interact with today's leading architects.
AIAS Forum 2007: Architecture in Motion is being hosted by the AIAS Chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The convention will be held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center from December 29, 2007 – January 1, 2008 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As life continues in constant motion, new materials, new technologies, and new ideas are presented. Architecture in Motion takes a look at where the profession and education of architecture is, where it is heading, and how we as students can define that path and claim a future for architecture. It is the perfect moment to take a stance and define who we are.
Each day has been divided into four sub topics, 1: Past and Present, 2: Your Toolbox, 3: Experience Architecture, and 4: Fast Forward. The four days of the conference will have seminars, tours, workshops, and keynotes geared towards these themes and the overall theme. Please take the time to check out the Forum 2007 website and explore what this convention has to offer!
