The mission of the Asociacíon Cultural de Estudiantes Puertoriqueños is to promote awareness of the Puerto Rican heritage, its people, issues, history and culture.

ACEP's principal activities, events, or programs: The organization help Puerto Rican students upon their arrival at the University of Minnesota by offering advice, activities and support in an atmosphere of cultural context and collaboration. In addition to providing a support network for students, the organization has a variety of activities including public speakers, social gatherings, field trips, and conferences.

How this group's activities benefit the University/non-University community?

The activities provide an opportunity for the University community to be informed about the Puerto Rican culture and enrich members of different ethnic groups on campus through collaboration, support, and promotion of diversity.

The organization fits the category of cultural and diversity because we are an association that recognizes pride within the Puerto Rican campus community. We strive to promote diversity on campus by recognizing the academic and scientific efforts of the students, staff, and faculty.

Discover Puerto Rico EVENT

Come join us in discovering the “Isla del Encanto” (Island of Enchantment), Puerto Rico.
Learn about the Puerto Rican heritage and explore the richness of its culture. There will be
food, presentations, cultural exhibitions, and live music by the group Yenyeré.
