Images made with a Pinhole Hasselblad (body cap with pinhole instead of normal lens)

The image on the left was made with the 80mm f2.8 Zeiss Planar on my 500CM. The image on the right was made by substituting the Planar with a pinhole (.3mm diameter in thin brass shimstock - ~f250) made by using a Hasselblad black plastic body cap. I made a hole about 12mm in the center of the body cap and then using black masking tape, taped the brass pinhole to the back. The body cap keeps the pinhole about 71mm from the film plane, so I get a bit more wide view with the pinhole. Both exposures were made with the camera on a tripod. I have also made a few exposures with a .2mm pinhole (f350), these are sharper but seem to suffer from optical problems (flare & diffraction). My gut reaction is that the Bender camera takes a more interesting picture, but I will fool around with my pinhole Hassy for a bit. The Hassy is easier to use with color & bw roll film (used Kodak PMC400 here - note that pinhole image is warmer in color) and I can use the 80mm Planar to compose the pinhole picture. The Bender I use a level with and just kind of aim it toward my subject.
