Executive Board Roles

President: In charge of scheduling and presiding over all general assembly and executive board meetings. Sets the direction, agenda and goals for the organization, including strategy, message, and plan. Also is the chief contact with all media and the liaison between outside organizations, campaigns, candidates, etc. Has the duty to re-register and handle all administrative duties regarding the University of Minnesota.

Vice President: Aids the President in agenda and goal setting for UDFL. The Vice President is ready to assume full leadership responsibilities in the absence/resignation of the President. Also is responsible for general organization fluidity and communicating effectively with other Executive Board members.

Secretary/Communications Chair: Responsible for room/table reservations for outreach, meetings, and events. The Secretary also is in charge of tracking attendance and keeping an updated list of UDFL members. This person works with the President with shaping message and is also the second contact for media organization. Helps with website design/layout.

Treasurer: Responsible for the checkbook and all monetary issues for the organization. Plans and coordinates all fundraising activity for UDFL, and keeps a meticulous log of money spent and money earned. At all times must know exactly how much money the UDFL has on hand. No money is spent without written approval from the treasurer. Chair of the Finance Committee.

Outreach Chair: The Outreach Chair is focused on UDFL communication on campus with other student organizations. Primary duty is planning and coordinating effective efficient recruiting efforts for UDFL and keeping members engaged and active in the organization. This includes social non-political events for the organization. Assists in any other general duties required by the President.
