Heart, Mind, & Spirit is an electronic magazine
for UUs on campus.
Its Editorial Board consists of volunteers who are:
1. Unitarian Universalists connected with a college or university.
They may be college students, faculty, or staff,
campus ministry staff or board members, etc.
2. The members of the Editorial Board
serve for whatever length of time suits them.
New members may join and old members depart
at any time merely be informing the Editors.
3. The current members of the Editorial Board
are listed on the home page of Heart, Mind, & Spirit.
Their e-mail addresses and their college connections
are listed with their names,
enabling subscribers, prospective writers, and any others
to write to the members of the Editorial Board directly.
4. Members of the Editorial Board
seek proposals for feature articles for HMS.
(And, of course, they may propose articles themselves.)
5. Members of the Editorial Board suggest themes
that should be added to the list of requested articles.
6. The members of the Editorial Board
are subscribers of the electronic magazine,
who receive all communications
at least one week before other subscribers.
7. The members of the Editorial Board do not serve as censors.
Rather they will alert the authors and Editors
of any possible misunderstandings and confusions
that might arise because of something said
in a proposal or feature article.
This saves the magazine from giving false
and unintended impressions to readers and to the larger world.
Members of the Editorial Board may also catch typographical errors
before the magazine goes out to all the subscribers.
But after suggestions for improvement
have been received from members of the Editorial Board,
authors and the Editors of HMS have the final responsibility
for what appears in their articles and other editorial matter.
8. Some members of the Editorial Board
might volunteer to become Editors of Heart, Mind, & Spirit.
