Contracting for Services

Service to students working on independent research is supported by the Dean's Office and offered at no charge to students.

For others, or students working on sponsored projects, initial consultation is always provided for without fee. This initial consultation typically encompasses one hour of consultation. In order to make the initial consultation productive, the ORC consultant may ask you to provide background information before the initial consultation. If the consultation request is limited and will not require more than one additional hour, no fees will be charged. In the event that the consultation is more extensive, requiring ongoing meetings, a fee structure has been developed through which charges will be assessed.
ORC is an ISO (Internal Service Organization) with a budget and account through which services will be paid for by customers, whether that includes research grants, department accounts, or other sources.
Information about the appropriate ISO arrangements can be made at the time it becomes necessary. For more information about these arrangements, please contact Sande Hill in the Department of Educational Psychology.
