In the aftermath of the Columbine Highschool tragedy,
Richard Finkelstein
was hired by the Colorado Council
on the Arts to develop, with NEA funding, a web
resource dealing with the power of the arts to heal.
Every arts discipline is covered as well as a number of topic-oriented listings. The theatre section ofters an extensive collection of annotated links profiling such resources as: Theatre resources for the deaf community, Drama therapy, Theatre for youth at risk, Theatre for the disabled community, Theatre of the oppressed, etc.

Art in the Public Interest Community Arts Network data base. Art in the Public Interest in partnership with the Virginia Tech Department of Theatre Arts' Consortium for the Study of Theatre and Community, developed this site to promote information exchange, research and critical dialogue within the field of community-based arts. This site offers a research database which will help students develop research projects and make contacts in the field, or help faculty members design syllabae and contact colleagues.
